The Hoover Dam Deluxe tour includes the mini tour activities plus a delicious lunch at Hacienda Hotel & Casino, sample candy at Ethel M. Chocolate Factory and a walk through the Desert Botanical Garden. After this fun day you will arrive back at your Las Vegas hotel approximately at 4:00 p.m. for your evening activities.

At the beginning the motor coach will drive down the windy road that the Hoover Dam construction workers walked to work each day as they built the dam. The breathtaking view of Lake Mead can be seen, too.

The land around the dam have colorful Arizona Paint Pots contrasting with the Black Mountain volcanic rock. At times Big Horn Sheep may be seen roaming this rugged area.

You will have 2 hours to thoroughly explore one of the seven engineering wonders of the world. There will be plenty of time to take the optional Discovery Tour for $10 payable at the dam. (Children six and under are free.) In addition to lectured presentation by professional guides you will have access to the Exhibit Hall, Visitor’s Center and the indoor and outdoor observation decks and a 25 minute movie of the dam’s original construction.

This tour has a morning departure and will last approximately 7 1/2 hours. (Tour length is subject to the traffic conditions at the dam.)

(Note: On all Hoover Dam tours, due to increased security, no bags, purses, cases, backpacks or fanny packs will be allowed inside the Visitor’s Center. Strollers and wheelchairs are subject to search. Cameras are allowed.)
